چکیده

Fatty acids in milk are one of the most important components of milk. The aim of this study was to determinate relationships between groups of fatty acids and body condition score change in Czech Fleckvieh cows. Fatty acids were classificated along its length of chain and its origin. A total of 50 Czech Fleckvieh cows with different parity were included to observation. During the first 4 weeks of lactation, milk samples were collected at a weekly interval and body condition score was assessed. Statistical analyses were performed using Microsoft Office Excel and the procedures MEANS and GLM of SAS 9.1. During the first four week of lactation, the proportions of shortand medium-chain fatty acids as well as de novo synthesised fatty acids increased. Moreover the cows with a greater body condition score change mobilized storage depot fat more intensively, which resulted in higher proportions of dietary and fatty acids originating in depot fat since week 1 of lactation, and long-chain fatty acids since week 2 of lactation. On the contrary, the animals with only a small body condition score change exhibited high proportions of shortand medium-fatty acids as well as de novo synthesised fatty acids in the most part of the period analysed. This indicates negative energy balance in early part of lactation and its compensation during observed period. So, the results confirm the relationships between different groups of milk fatty acids proportion, body condition score and negative energy balance. Both methods of FA sorting were confirmed as appropriate for evaluation of negative energy balance intensity. Further, results emphasize importance the monitoring of body condition, milk composition and good level of herd management in first part of lactation.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between body condition score changes and the dynamics of energy balance indicators fatty acid and citric acid contents in milk during a early part of lactation. In addition, the relationship between these two indicators was also evaluated. A total of 27 Holstein cows that calved within three consecutive weeks were included in the ana...

Use of Yeast Culture in the TMR of Dairy Holstein Cows

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae SC 47) addition in the diet of dairy cows on their rumen fermentation and milk production. Animals received a diet TMR based on good maize silage with a higher dry matter content (14 kg), 14 kg of lucerne-grass haylage, 5 kg of crushed ears of maize, 5 kg of beet pulp silage, 3 kg of crimped wheat, 2 kg...

Association of milk yield and body condition score indices with the commencement of luteal activity after parturition in high producing dairy cows

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relation between different indices of milk yield andbody condition score (BCS) with the commencement of the luteal activity (C-LA) during the postpartumperiod in high producing dairy cows. Seventy-one multiparous healthy (free of detectable reproductivedisorders) Holstein dairy cows (mean peak milk yield = 56.7 ± 7.4 kg) were used in the prese...

Effects of Fat Supplementation and Chop Length on Milk Composition and Ruminal Fermentation of Cows Fed Diets Containing Alfalfa Silage

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of fat supplementation for enhancing milk conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in early lactation without affecting ruminal fermentation. 24 Holstein dairy cows were assigned to a completely randomized design employing a 2 × 4 factorial arrangement. Factors were particle size (15 and 25 mm) and two different sources of alfalfa supplemented with and wit...
